Chris Columbus' 1492 Entertainment has picked up the film rights to IDW Publishing's horror graphic novel "Welcome to Hoxford."
Ben Templesmith, who co-penned the vampire comic series "30 Days of Night," which Sony made into a film in 2007, created "Hoxford," about a psychiatrist who must team with a deeply disturbed patient in order to escape werewolves who run an institution for the criminally insane. "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief."
The actress joins Logan Lerman and Brandon T. Jackson in the
fantasy-adventure movie being directed by Chris Columbus. Columbus
and Craig Titley have adapted the screenplay from Rick Riordan's
bestselling children's novel.
The Greek mythology-inflected book involves Poseidon's half-human
son, Percy, who's on a quest across modern America to prevent a war

Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd and Melina Kanakaredes are heading to Mount Olympus.
The quintet has been cast in Fox 2000's fantasy-adventure adaptation "Percy Jackson" as classical Greek gods Chiron (Brosnan), Medusa (Thurman), Zeus (Bean), Poseidon (McKidd) and Athena (Kanakaredes). Aries, Hades and Persephone have not yet been cast.
The film, being directed by Chris Columbus, is shooting in Vancouver for a February release.

Fox 2000 has assembled a cast of Greek gods for the fantasy adventure "Percy Jackson."
Uma Thurman, Pierce Brosnan and Sean Bean have signed on to play Medusa, Chiron and Zeus, respectively. Kevin McKidd (Poseidon) and Melina Kanakerides (Athena) are also joining the heavenly bunch in the Chris Columbus-helmed pic.
The studio is still looking to fill the roles of Aries, Hades and Persephone. Logan Lerman and Brandon Jackson have already signed on to topline.

Disney has tapped Tiffany Paulsen to write "Further Adventures in Babysitting," with Raven Symone and Miley Cyrus to star and Lynda Obst producing.
Project's a remake of 1987's "Adventures in Babysitting," which David Simkins penned and Chris Columbus helmed in his feature bow. Obst and the late Debra Hill produced for Disney's Touchstone label.
