Johnny Depp: Here’s my verdict on Hollywood actors making huge and outrageous salaries (because I know you’re all dying to hear it): more power to them. They should get what they can get. Just as with athletes in the sports world. Why should we begrudge them earning obscene amounts of money for what is essentially 3 or 4 months of work? Sure, I’d like to see them do more than just pretend in front of a camera for their money, like clean out my basement, or pull those damn weeds from my backyard. But even so, and if the market will bear it, they should make as much as they can. Hell, whenever blogging in your underwear surrounded by empty cans of Red Bull becomes as prestigious as starring in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4″, I Read full story at www.beyondhollywood.com

Pirates 4: Is Johnny Depp The 56 Million Dollar Man?
Was anyone honestly surprised to hear Disney was actively developing Pirates of the Caribbean 4? Or the news that Johnny Depp would in fact reprise his role of Captain Jack Sparrow? I didn’t think so. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Depp will receive a massive payday in the form of $56 million US (aka 32 million pounds UK) to put on the black eye-liner for a fourth time.   Normally, I wouldn’t believe this considering the source is the British tabloids which cer

There are various internet reports saying that Johnny Depp is getting paid between $50 - 75 MILLION Dollars to come back nad reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Can you say Cha-Ching? Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Spoilers, Rumors
While Pirates of the Caribbean 4 was only first confirmed last week, and while no script is finalized yet, it's never too early to speculate on the upcoming blockbuster. We know Johnny Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow. According to Cinema Blend, two rumors about the film are now making the rounds:Captain Jack will have brother, possibly played by Sacha Baron Cohen or Russell Brand;Tim Burton will direct. It's way to early to consider these rumors as anything close to facts, but they're fun to consider

Cohen or Brand in Pirates 4?
Disney recently announced that they are indeed developing a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film and that series star Johnny Depp was set to reprise his role as daffy pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. As has long been suggested, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) will not be in the next film so how might the Pirates franchise go on without them? Cinema Blend reports a rumor, which they stress is merely chatter from a reliable source about very early developments that could still

Johnny Depp to be paid big bucks
A source says: ‘It’s a lot of swag but there’s only one Johnny Depp. They simply cannot make another ‘Pirates’ movie without Jack Sparrow.’ So true…no one could play Jack Sparrow apart from Depp. Disney have made $2.7billion at the box-office for the first three Pirates films. It’s reported that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not return to their roles.

Burton on Pirates??
Recently Disney made the announcement that Johnny Depp was set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie (and reportedly for $50+ million). But what wasn't announced were any details on the movie itself, namely who would be directing. Gore Verbinski, who directed the first three films, has been non-committal on a fourth movie. While he's off prepping BIOSHOCK, could Disney be looking to another FOJD (Friend of Johnny Depp) to take the reigns? Cinema Blend is reporting

Depp hits Captain Jack-pot!
HOLLYWOOD -- If, five years ago, you were to suggest that Johnny Depp would one day become the darling of Disney, earning the largest paycheque in The Mouse's history, folks would look at you like you were, well, goofy. Of course, that would have been before his box office three-peat for the studio as the wonky Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. The $1.62-billion worldwide haul was enough to make people forget about Depp's prior penchant for riskier stuff such as Blow and Fe

Damn That’s A Lot of Cheddar
Johnny Depp is set to make approxiamately $61 million for reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. At first that number kind of pissed me off. I mean, who deserves $61 million for a few months work? So ridiculous. If it was any other actor, I would still be pissed … but it’s my boy JD. I’ve had his back since 21 Jump Street, and if some studio suits are willing to write that check, who am I to judge him for cashing it? The arti

ROFL THIS: Details On The Next Batman Film Remain Mysterious
ONTD has the latest on the near-constant flow of rumors surrounding production and casting of the next installment of the Batman films. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight writer David S. Goyer has denied rumors, among others, that Johnny Depp will be playing The Riddler or that Philip Seymour Hoffman will play The Penquin. So everybody just chill, okay? ‘Batman 3’ – Pure Speculation
The Dark Knight is now the second most successful film of all time, with only Titanic taking more at the box office. But with the film only having been out a few months, and no DVD release yet in sight, most people already seem to have moved on to the possible third film in the Chris Nolan Batman trilogy. Each week brings new rumours, be it over which members of the cast and crew have signed up, who is going to play what villain, and when the film is going to be released. In fact, none of what you have so

Rumor of the 'Caribbean': Tim Burton to Direct 'Pirates 4'?
won't matter who directs it. Attaching a big name would mean that even if Pirates 4 makes a billion dollars worldwide, it would likely be paying $125 million or more to two people, on top of a huge production budget. But won't Burton and Depp mean more box office for Pirates? Not really. The duo's only major hit was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Sweeney Todd barely made money, ditto Sleepy Hollow. When you look at how much money the Pirates series has made already, you can safely assume that

Friendly Fires: Paris (Video)
For some reason, the video for Friendly Fires’ “Paris” reminds of me Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the good one with Gene Wilder, not the awful one with Johnny Depp). The way colors and psychedelic images collide remind me of the Oompa Loompa segments, while the low quality of the video looks like every movie made in the 1970s. “Paris” continues the trend of the Friendly Fires sounding like a more radio-ready Klaxons. At least they’re not annoying as Does it Offe
