Singing comic will be seen in Apatow's movie

“Ghostbusters 3″ in the Works!
Below is the official word on the rumored “Ghostbusters 3″ film that has been trying to get off the ground in Hollywood for years. Names like Judd Apatow, Ben Stiller and Seth Rogan have been rumored as possible new comers to the project with the original cast returning from the first two films (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis & Ernie Hudson).
Any way you look at it this is great news for movie fans from the 80’s that have been waiting for this announcement. The first two R

Do we really need another comedy produced by Judd Apatow this year?

Alright, time to bring up Ghostbusters 3…
It is probably time to address this issue. I have purposely been avoiding all of the hooplah surrounding the announcement of a new Ghostbusters movie that is in the works from a script by The Office writer-producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Judd Apatow is on board as producer as well, and it is likely that the usual Apatow crew will be on board in this “passing of the torch” type sequel.
The internet has been in a bit of a fervor over this - the nerd/movie buff community being left co
Blazin’ Review: Pineapple Express
Pineapple Express is the eighth film to be either produced, written or directed by Judd Apatow in the last two years, thats a lot by anyone’s standards. Not a problem, you may think, but when quantity over-rides quality, you have to wonder if it’s time Apatow and the Apatow Frat Pack took two steps back and looked at their output. It’s not that they have made any truly bad films its just that all of this years efforts including Step Brothers, Walk Hard, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and

Judd Apatow’s Latest Discovery
With plans of releasing a musical that isn’t at all like Disney’s High School musical, producer Judd Apatow has tapped the talents of an unknown who will eventually write the music and star in this film.
Who is this unknown? His name is Bo Burnham. Apatow saw what Burnham can do while he was performing at the Just for Laughs Festival held in Montreal a couple of months back. Virtually, though, the guy is not quite unknown in the web world. He has a solid online following on his Youtube Channel

Film Reviews: The raunch-to-romance ratio isn't up to Judd Apatow level -- the current gold standard for R-rated romantic comedies -- but has enough down-and-dirty laughs to make it a midrange B.O. performer before its likely long shelf life as homevideo fare.

How did you rate the stoner comedy-cum-action thriller from the Judd Apatow stable?
Judd Apatow Now Just Stealing Ideas From YouTube
The one thing we've always taken for granted with Judd Apatow is his ability to assemble a cast: whether it's the Freaks and Geeks–Undeclared set (Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Jay Baruchel) or the post–40-Year-Old Virgin one (Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, McLovin), the extended Apatow family has always been an endearing bunch. But we're a bit concerned about the latest addition to the stable — 18-year-old Internet celebrity Bo Burnham, better known as that dude who sings joke songs on YouTube. Burnh
Russell Brand: Dirty Sexy Funny
Though his performance at the Video Music Awards received a decidedly mixed reaction, there’s no denying Russell Brand is one of the more unique minds in comedy today. Having long made headlines as a talk show host and Jackass-style stuntman in the U.K., he’s now making Hollywood movies with the likes of Adam Sandler and Judd Apatow, learning a great deal about Americans along the way. “I made a documentary about Jack Kerouac a year ago, and traveling across America I met people that look
‘Ghostbusters’ Cast To Mentor Next-Gen in ‘G3’
We've all been jumping for joy since it was announced last week that Sony/Columbia was moving forward with a third Ghostbusters film that would reunite the original cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson.
But there's also been talk that Ghostbusters 3 would really center on the next generation of ghostbusters, possibly even played by some of the young actors who regularly appear in the Judd Apatow films.
So, if the new film -- to be penned by Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and G
‘Ghostbusters 3’ Being Written by Guys From ‘The Office’!
Yesterday, Dan Aykroyd, while standing in what appeared to be a liquor store and wearing a T-shirt advertising tequila, told a reporter there were "two sharp young writers" working on a screenplay to relaunch the Ghostbusters franchise. And, astonishingly, it's true! Last night, Variety confirmed that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, co–executive producers on the most recent season of The Office (they're responsible for the episode about the office-chair model), are writing a script "designed to bri
‘W.’ Trailer: Oliver Stone’s Bush Movie Still Looking Hilarious
Tagline: Based on a true story.Translation: Yep, they include the part with the pretzel. The Verdict: The new, second trailer for Oliver Stone's Bush biopic, W., has a lot going for it — the (obvious-in-retrospect) choice of the Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" for the soundtrack, Josh Brolin's hilarious, spot-on Bush impersonation, and Elizabeth Banks playing a mean Laura, straight man to George. This clip may be slightly less madcap than the first one, but its jokes are better. We bet this is goin
Dogs and Cats Living Together: "If I could ... [Ghostbusters 3]
Dogs and Cats Living Together: "If I could interest Seth [Rogen] and Judd [Apatow] to be part of [Ghostbusters 3], that would be an absolute dream," says OG Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd to E!, according to Slashfilm. The formerly proton pack-clad Aykroyd reveals that two writers are currently working on the sequel, though at this point, there is no information on how much male full-frontal nudity (or how many ad-libbed pop culture references) the Apatow-aspiring trio plans to include. Bill Murray; “GHOSTBUSTERS… wounds are healed”
Bill Murray, for possibly the first time ever, has stated that he would be interested in the newly announced GHOSTBUSTERS III movie that Columbia have recently put into development, commenting that “the wounds from GHOSTBUSTERS 2 are healed”.
In the past, Murray has only ever shown a vague interest in returning to the franchise on film and at one point he would only appear in the movie if he could be a Ghost at the end! Which admittedly, is an extremely funny idea.
Murray spoke at Fantastic
Hayden Panettiere Urges You to Vote in ‘Funny or Die’ Parody Video
Hayden Panettiere has done a mock PSA called "Your Vote, Your Choice" for the folks at Funny or Die. If you’re not familiar with the site, it is a comedy video site that combines user generated content with original, exclusive content. Many famous people have been spotted in Funny or Die originals. Videos are voted on and the ones that aren’t funny, well, they die. The site was created by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy.
Hayden’s spot was directed by Judd Apatow of Kn
Harold Ramis confirms ‘Ghostbusters III’
I just received this e-mail from Harold Ramis confirming the forward progress on a third “Ghostbusters” movie (as mentioned earlier here), with Judd Apatow, some of his regular actors and perhaps Bill Murray involved:
“yes, columbia is developing a script for GB3 with my year one writing partners, gene stupnitsky and lee eisenberg. Judd Apatow is co-producing year one and has made several other films for sony, so of course the studio is hoping to tap into some of the same acting talent.
BREAKING: 'Ghostbusters 3' is (Maybe) ON!
We've stayed away from all the Ghostbusters rumors these past couple days because last time we crossed this road, we were told nothing existed. Well, seems that's not at all true: Variety reports that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (The Office, Year One) have been asked to write a script for a Ghostbusters sequel (reported earlier today by Pajiba.com) that may or may not "pass the torch to a new group of ghost chasers." Funnily enough -- and even though he flat out told us he had nothing to do with it --
Quote: Don’t Put Spike Lee Next to Judd Apatow
The September 22nd issue of The New Yorker has a profile on Spike Lee. At one point Lee is given a poster to sign for the wall at the Sony Music studio that he used for his latest film. So while his feud with Clint Eastwood might be officially over, Lee launches a shot in the direction of America’s favorite comedy producer/director Judd Apatow:
“Don’t put us next to Judd Apapoe, whatever that guy is,” Lee says, referring to Judd Apatow. “We gotta be next to Spielberg and Williams!”

New Ghostbusters To Feature Old Ghostbusters [Ghostbusters]
No sooner is a new Ghostbusters movie announced, than rumors start to fly around the internet about whether the new installment will be a reboot, a sequel, replacing the original cast or retaining them, and whether anyone will, this time around, be afraid of no ghosts. Thankfully, co-creator Harold Ramis was on hand to offer a particularly ee cummings-esque helpful update to the confused faithful.
Writing to the Chicago Tribune despite the apparent loss of his Caps Lock key, Ramis revealed that at l
Spike Lee Ends Feud With Clint Eastwood; Did He Start New One With Judd Apatow?
Few Hollywood folks have picked as many showbiz fights as Spike Lee. So I was amused when I saw he was ending one feud and seeming to start another. I for one can't remember all the spats. But a very public one took place back in 1997 when Lee criticized Quentin Tarantino for using the word “nigger” in movies. More recently, Spike started an international battle with Clint Eastwood. At a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, Lee accused him of omitting black soldiers from his two recent movie
